As we launch, we have two key offerings on CodeMD.

2. Community

Tutorials

Our tutorials each meet the following three criteria:

• Takes less than 90 minutes to complete.
• Achievable assuming no base knowledge.
• Tangible “product” as an end goal.

They’re designed that way as we understand that everyone’s busy with looking after patients, and learning to code should work for you, rather than the other way around! We’ve also made it a key aim to produce tangible “products” as one of the largest frustrations with coding is the sheer amount of time taken to make anything of note. We’re going to flip that model on it’s head, and teach by doing.

Our tutorials are designed to be completed in under 90 minutes by anyone, regardless of prior of coding experience.

If you find that it’s taking a few hours to complete a tutorial, do drop us a message through our Slack channel and we will try to clarify things in the tutorial to ensure it holds true to our 90 minute limit!

Community

Having spoken to members of the community both in person and online, we found one recurring theme – the desire to meet like-minded individuals to work together with! To that end, we’ve setup a CodeMD Slack channel for anyone and everyone to join, with the intention of meeting others interested in learning to code, and to help others on their journey.
